Our Partners

Why UPE?

Upsilon Pi Epsilon, Nu Chapter (UPE) is the largest Computer Science Honor Society at UC Berkeley, and we are endorsed by ACM and IEEE. UPE aims to recognize academic excellence and promote academic and professional growth of its members. Each semester, we extend membership to the top third of declared CS majors by GPA (minimum GPA of 3.8). Our vision is to connect brilliant students in UC Berkeley to great companies like yours. In the past, we have held 6+ events per semester of all types, ranging from info-sessions, tech talks, coffee chats, competitions and the EECS career fair. In the past two semesters we have held several in-person, virtual, and hybrid events with 100-200 attendees.

Hosting CAP Events

We help host events at UC Berkeley for companies in the EECS Corporate Access Program (CAP).

When and where?

Events are usually held in the Wozniak Lounge, HP Auditorium, or Sibley Auditorium from 6-8PM, although times are adjustable by request.

How is the event publicized?

We use all channels of communication available to us, including our UPE Slack channel, Facebook page, member newsletter, and more.

What is the student turnout for the event?

This depends on the company, the speaker, and time of year. It ranges from 30 to 150 students. With more information about your event, we can provide a more precise estimate.

How much does it cost?

As a CAP member, you are allowed to host one recruiting event per semester with the EECS department at no charge. Additional events will cost $1,500 each.

Hosting UPE Events

When and where?

For Non-CAP events, we will select and reserve space on campus based on the type of event and expected turnout. During remote instructions, we often host the events on password-protected Zoom sessions. Companies can also provide their own online meeting links if needed.

How much does it cost?

We currently offer two price plans - Gold Level at $1,300 and Silicon Level at $2,200.

Have you worked with startups before?

We have, and the response has been very positive! We have found that employees of startups are usually better equipped to talk about the company as a whole, so it often results in a fun learning experience for all attendees.

Resume Book

The Berkeley UPE Resume Book contains resumes of our members, who are in the top third of the declared Computer Science students at UC Berkeley.
Our resume book is updated every semester and includes resumes from our alumni, graduate students, and undergraduate students (mostly seniors and juniors).
The resumes in the book are grouped by students’ graduation years and ordered alphabetically. Our resume book costs $250, and it comes in the form of a downloadable PDF.

Interested in partnering with us?

If you are interested in partnering with us or have any questions about holding events, feel free to contact us at ir@upe.berkeley.edu!
It would be great if the first contact could be made 4+ weeks prior to the date of your event. This ensures that we have enough time and flexibility to find a space for the event and maximize publicity.
